http://bibleprobe.com/chinese.htm
The Chinese language is quite interesting since the characters when put together create more complex words based upon smaller pictures being put together creating a story into a single word. I found this to be some more proof of the validity of the Word of God. For if all people spoke one language up until the tower of Babel, then this fits very well within these guidelines that such a record would exist. Please note the Chinese also have a character called shang ti. For the one monotheistic God. This is a continuation from the confucianism discussion with Steen. |

Yes I could see that I lost you there.
Sorry you would've had to look at the link. There are many examples. Such as create, which is made by combining the words breath, dust, life, talk, walk. So create tells the story of creation of Adam. Life breathed into dust was talking and walking. Create. There are pictorial references on the link as well. |

No, I'm saying exactly what the Bible is saying. There was one language prior to the Tower of Bbel. Which would make sense considering it was just Noah and his family and they would've obviously spoke the same language. If you look very seriously into it. Genesis chapter 1 through 11 is devoid of race, just man. There is no Hebrew or otherwise in it.

That is true. And this is also what linguists assume, except that they do not think that all languages exploded into existence a relatively short time ago.

Isn't it ironic how the authors of History World use evolution as a model for how languages develope while you quotemine and edit their texts so that their explanations fit what you want to believe.

One group says something came about one way and another says different. How amazing. The evidence is all the same. Its how we interpret the facts. A person comes in with certain presuppositions before reviewing the evidence. So it doesn't surprise me. Nd on a sidenote, with other topics concerning science. Christians are against science or the result, but the assumptions made by the evidence. Its all about presuppositions |
