Whether it is Satan or any other malevolent force or presence doesn't matter in the least. The name that humans have given it is of no importance for my question. The only reason why I used the name Satan was that that is the usual name with which the christian dub the ultimate evil deceiver.

Could you now please answer the question or concede that you have no answer?
God only allows us to be tempted to what we can bear, and even then He provides a way out for us.

Point is, God limits satans power over us, for our benefit. So no, I would agree with you if satan had the power to tempt us indescriminately but he doesn't he is held back by God.

I'm sure you will not accept anything I say, so I really doesn't matter what I write here.

And if he really is opposed to God the Father, he would write something that made God look like a homicidal maniac. Hey, this is amazing: that is just how God is described in the Bible!

Of course I will accept stuff that you say and of course it matters what you write here.

Right now the reason why everyone thinks you're the mega douche of the universe is because you act like one. It has little or even nothing to do with your christianity and everything to do with your horrible attitude.

The reason why I don't accept your arguments is because they stink. Having a discussion with you is like having tea with the Mad Hatter. Every single time we pin you on some shoddy argument, you handwavingly call it a joke, sarcasm or whatever. Reality seems to shift beneath your feet for every step you take in our discussions. You never take responsibility for the stuff you say when it can be used against you.

If you are polite and treat others with kindness and patience, argue your points well and present your case thoroughly, coherently, rationally and humbly, most people would listen and probably even respect you for it.

It is not the message of your particular brand of christianity that we react to, it is your revolting attitude we loathe.

yeah thanks for the pointers.

Truth is people start talking down to me initially, this is where I take a turn for the worse.

You think that offending the christian is ok. You think that calling that which we hold hope a hoax isn't going to offend a Christian, you are mistaken.

I'm getting tired of these debates actually. the monotonous topics over and over with everyone is just a waste of time.

As a christian you have a higher calling. You are salt and light unto this world. You are in this world but not of it. You have been given the holy spirit. You can discern what is of god and what is not. Christ suffered and died so that you could have eternal life.

You squander these precious gifts maybe even to the brinck of loosing them, on being petty and asshatty on an internet forum chok full of some of the people that need your saviour the most.

Jesus said that when someone asks you to walk a mile, you should walk two and if anyone asks of you to give them your clothes, throw in your sandals and staff too.

The bible tells you that the fruits of the spirit is stuff like patience, love, kindness, humility, longsuffering and so on. Do you bear fruits of the spirit? Does the holy spirit really dwell within you?

Instead of acting like a person who has been given the most precious of all gifts in this life, you act like a fearful, arrogant, bigoted prick. You do not waste a chance to rub in our faces that we are going to hell and that all that which is so important for our eternal souls is out of our reach.

Im am not saying that you got the best welcome here on the boards. I checked your first couple of posts and it seems in my opinion that you were treated a little harshly. But you can't possibly blame all your arrogance and snide remarks, your vitriole, your ad hominems and your glaring lack of understanding of arguments, logic, science, other religions and isms like atheism on being rubbed the wrong way in your first time here on the boards.

As a christian you should have the power in Christ to fare much much better and above that.

I will keep that in mind. Its ashame you've lost your salvation, you could probably reach some of your peers. But I guess it's too late for that now, right?

I repeat : until authorship of the bible has been established, we cannot assume it to be a reliable source. All of your information comes from the bible, which, for all you know, may be a malevolent deity's work.
In other words, you have not excluded the possibility that you're just repeating satan's lies.
